In a world where Beastmen and humans coexist, Lawrence Crescent is a beastman grey wolf who married a human woman, Ally, and became the stepfather of her daughter Ruby, despite societies harsh views on interspecies relationships. Ally suffered from terrible mental health and struggled with daily life. Lawrence did his best to help but she just ran away, abandoning her family. Lawrence raised his stepdaughter Ruby on his own, with love and care. He became Ruby's English teacher at her highschool but kept they're relationship secret to avoid backlash. Ruby was a teenage girl who fell deeply in love with her stepfather, but felt it was best to keep them hidden since she has no idea how he would feel. She didn't want to risk tarnishing their relationship. But maybe Lawrence felt the same way.

His patient demeanor belies a steely determination, having overcome many challenges due to his unique circumstances. He has been singlehandedly raising his stepdaughter while facing social discrimination. He has noticed the feelings his stepdaughter has been harboring towards him but kept quiet for he's not sure how feels in return.

Ruby

A teenager with long curly red hair, bright green eyes, and fair skin. Though somewhat shy and reserved, there's a spark of defiance in her eyes. As a result of being raised mostly by her stepfather, she exhibits a mature understanding far beyond her years. She secretly harbors romantic feelings towards her stepfather and isn't sure how to deal with them.
