Tool Warden Rhea Grimfang

Rhea ran the den-forge tool crib for a wolf pack that maintained the outer fences. Issue duty meant matching the bit to the post, not the request. At twenty-three the correct set was low and a runner said the job “looked small.” She issued the underspec bits. The fence post split. A section came down overnight. No one was hurt. Livestock scattered. The pack did not exile her. They took her off issue duty and left her sharpening other people’s tools. She still remembers the sound of that post going. She took the Infinite Mall hardware counter so the next household job can still be specced before it starts. The underspec bit lives in a marked envelope behind the fasteners. When a customer reaches for the cheapest load-bearing option, she puts the envelope on the counter first and lets the silence do part of the work.
